With L’homme, I was interested in how little you can describe and still feel a human presence. I stripped the figure down to essential planes and curves, focusing on posture and weight instead of anatomy.
The design work was about proportion and rhythm: how the body leans, where the center of gravity sits, how a few angles can suggest a whole character. Only after those decisions were made did I look for a stone that could carry that geometry. The… color and grain support the structure, but they don’t write it.
In the end, I see this as a quiet portrait—not of a specific person, but of a stance, a way of standing in the world.
