About this artwork
From of a series of landscapes created in 2017. These were part of an exhibition in Direktorenhaus Berlin in 2018
Artwork description - This was created from a landscape painting which was based on a walk through fields in the Cotswolds on a hot summers day. It began as a painting which I broken into pieces and reassembled.
Method - My work moves between physical and digital methods. I often begin by assembling collages from found and painted… materials. These compositions are scanned and transformed digitally, allowing me to adjust colour, scale, and structure. The image is then transferred onto MDF using a gelatine-based transfer technique, creating an imperfect, textured surface that becomes the foundation for further painting in oils.
