About this artwork
"BANRÍON na CARRAIGE"
In this artwork, named "Banríon na Carraige" which is Irish for "Queen of the Rock", I sought to blend the tangible with the imagined, creating a surreal and compelling narrative. With acrylics and resin, I depicted a Female figure enveloped in a gown of twigs, organic materials, and reclaimed objects, resonating with nature's own textures. Butterflies, symbols of transformation and resilience, dance around her, each a testament… to the persistence of beauty and renewal. This piece, rooted in surrealism, mirrors life's continuous cycle of growth and change, urging viewers to embrace their transformational journeys with grace.
