About this artwork

"LEVITATION"
One of a series of images taken in 2019 in Ballybunion, county Kerry, Ireland. I decided to create a piece of Art with the Active Retired Group and that in doing so, will maybe end the stereotyping of older people and make the community more aware of how much more there is to people once they have retired, taking time to engage and be inspired by there wisdom. I sought to blend the boundaries between reality and fantasy, encapsulating… a moment of surreal levitation. With a masterful use of acrylic and resin, I enhanced the organic textures of the scene, evoking the raw beauty of nature intertwining with a whimsical human spirit. This artwork breathes a freeing, vibrant energy into any space, inviting viewers to ponder the possibilities of the unbounded human spirit.
