About this artwork
This image shows the Love of the Sea and the connection it brings to these spirited women friends.
These Friends gathered nearly every day since the Covid-19 lock-down for there swim and chat. Come rain or shine and no matter how cold, since the Covid-19 Pandemic this has been there Coffee morning and way of keeping each others spirits up. Ever since they have kept up their Friendships and Love of the Daily swim and get together. Showing that Friendship… and mother Nature is one of the greatest tonics for the soul.
In crafting this piece, I delved into the profound themes of isolation and connectivity, using acrylic, slate, earth, and sand to elevate the surreal ambiance. It melds a windswept landscape with people together yet apart, under vivid umbrellas mirroring their solitary reflections. This artwork is a visual dialogue on resilience amidst solitude, bringing a unique, stirring energy to any space it inhabits.
« My creative process is always evolving, I am constantly intrigued by the endless possibilities of creating with digital technology fused with the real world materials of Canvas, paper, paint and other materials. »
David Morrison, a seasoned visual artist, adeptly integrates photography, digital manipulation, and various materials in his work. Infusing real-world elements with digital technology, he alters light, tones, and colors, using software like a paintbrush while adding tangible materials for depth. His art, a harmonious blend of surrealism, pop art and contemporary, radiates an emotional connection to nature, capturing the viewer into its fantastic narratives. Above all, my Art does not have to be understood to be enjoyed.
