About this artwork
"LONG DRIVE"
One of a series of images taken in 2019 in Ballybunion, county Kerry, Ireland. I decided to create a piece of Art with the Active Retired Group and that in doing so, will maybe end the stereotyping of older people and make the community more aware of how much more there is to people once they have retired, taking time to engage and be inspired by there wisdom. I explored the dynamic intersection of reality and fantasy, combining elements… of realism and surrealism. I used a mix of materials—acrylic, resin, and found objects—to layer memories and dreams into a vibrant tapestry. The golfer, caught in a moment of explosive action, symbolizes the power of human endeavor against the surreal backdrop, prompting viewers to contemplate the boundaries between the ordinary and the extraordinary. This piece brings a burst of energy and a touch of mystery to any space.

« My creative process is always evolving, I am constantly intrigued by the endless possibilities of creating with digital technology fused with the real world materials of Canvas, paper, paint and other materials. »
David Morrison, a seasoned visual artist, adeptly integrates photography, digital manipulation, and various materials in his work. Infusing real-world elements with digital technology, he alters light, tones, and colors, using software like a paintbrush while adding tangible materials for depth. His art, a harmonious blend of surrealism, pop art and contemporary, radiates an emotional connection to nature, capturing the viewer into its fantastic narratives. Above all, my Art does not have to be understood to be enjoyed.
