About this artwork
"SHALOM"
One of a series of images taken in 2019 in Ballybunion, county Kerry, Ireland. I decided to create a piece of Art with the Active Retired Group and that in doing so, will maybe end the stereotyping of older people and make the community more aware of how much more there is to people once they have retired, taking time to engage and be inspired by there wisdom. In Creating this Artpiece, I felt a burst of emotions—the contrasting calm and… chaos swirling together, about Peace and Forgiveness. I chose acrylics, spray paint, and resin to deepen the textures, empowering the surreal atmosphere. The piano player, engulfed by a tempest, symbolizes resilience amid life's storms. Petals scattered by the wind reflect fleeting moments of beauty. This artwork invites contemplation and could bring a dynamic, thoughtful presence into any living space.
