About this artwork
The work entitled “Mixtura Terrae” is an abstract composition combining acrylic paint and walnut stain. The lower part in the colors of sienna, burnt sienna, and red ocher, the contrast of which is enhanced by drips of walnut stain, seems to be diluted in the aquatic or celestial area above it. Materials and colors mingle while the light infiltrates the shadows. The shapes created are as much a graphic composition as random mixtures.

Inspired by natural elements, movement, and light, his works convey an ambivalence between darkness and light, interweaving mystery between surface and depth.
