About this artwork
The work entitled "Shattered Glass" is an abstract geometric painting evoking a broken multicolored stained-glass window, the shards of which are scattered on an orange ground reminiscent of the already cooled embers. By successive masking, triangles and quadrilaterals are added to the canvas, smoothed with a knife to mix the colors, create gradients and bring transparency. Bright and vibrant colors were chosen to contrast with the darker background.…
The juxtaposition and superposition of these hot and cold geometric figures stimulate the gaze and bring rhythm.
