Have you ever had to make a hard decision, and later found it was so good you never looked back?
Moving to Virginia was like that for us. At the time, I was 6 months pregnant, with a 3 yr old and 2 year old in tow. I was quitting my biochemical engineering career, and dealing with an undiagnosed tissue disorder that led to difficulty walking, multiple ruptured discs and constant nerve pain in my lower back. Moving to a place where we didn't know… a soul and reinventing my life was hard. What kept me positive was thinking that this was likely another temporary move - just one of many more places we would live.
As time went on, and we explored other states we might consider for a forever home, it became clear that we had already landed. We'd have to give something up to relocate, and we are very spoiled here in Northern Virginia. It turned out that move we found so stressful was actually so good we never looked back!
