Digital Fragments 417 is part of my Ethereal Solid series — a body of digital works focused on density, tension, and light. In this piece, I explore how fragmented textures can feel both grounded and weightless. The image appears layered and built up, but at the same time fragile — as if it could collapse inward or dissolve into vibration.
This series emerged from a desire to compress presence. Each work feels like a pressure point, holding motion… and stillness in the same breath. Digital Fragments 417 is no exception: its forms are luminous, trembling, yet contained.
The work exists as a still image, created for both the screen and fine art printing. For print, I use Hahnemühle Photo Rag with Giclée technology to ensure deep blacks, subtle transitions, and archival quality. The edition is limited to 5, signed and numbered.
Denis Leclerc, a classically trained painter and accomplished digital artist, bridges the worlds of fine art and visual communication with an expansive practice rooted in oil, acrylic, and digital media. His intricate, layered digital abstractions skillfully blend painterly gestures with subtle animation, drawing from a meditative, minimalist sensibility or a lush, baroque digital vocabulary. Each piece explores transformation and ambiguity, inviting viewers into liminal spaces where forms shift and dissolve—conveying emotions of suspension, quiet resonance, and lingering presence that invite slow, contemplative attention.
