About this artwork
The picture shows the joy of life in society using cooking recipes from a cookbook from 1871. Sweet dishes are depicted in old German cursive.
The word "and?" can have many meanings in the German language. From a simple question to a defiant protest and questioning in order to refute all arguments and carry on anyway. Here it is meant to show the experience of history that despite what has been experienced, many things repeat themselves. And? Is… meant to show that we can still learn from it.
