About this artwork
Wealthy collectors had ordered from the artist an oil on canvas in the format 2m x 2m in the colors "mainly red and with yellow", for a Spanish second home. The order has been completed and shipped. Magnificent!
For fun, the artist then composed another work, of a smaller format (the one presented here) and with rather inverted colors: mainly yellow with reds, and shades of mauve. Here is the little story of this work ...
The artist finds this… work quite light and floating. It has very beautiful overlays of material and colors. It is signed on the back and can of course be viewed in several directions, like almost all of the artist's works.

Through abstract oil paintings, Denys Eustace explores a quest for meaning where philosophy and painting intertwine. His works, nourished by Taoist and Greco-Roman thought, question emptiness, infinity, and impermanence. He is not inspired by the canvases of the masters, but by their writings and research: his in-depth study of Kandinsky's Concerning the Spiritual in Art, for example, the questions posed by Klee and Mondrian, as well as the voices of Lao Tzu, Heraclitus, Pascal, and Shitao, guide his approach.
A self-taught painter, he complemented his training with art history courses at the École du Louvre and by giving lectures. His work has been featured in around one hundred exhibitions, both in France and abroad. He lives and works between Paris and Normandy.
