About this artwork
Parking
Paris 2010.
If you suddenly come to Paris, drink a little fine French wine, and just wander aimlessly, good photo angles will appear everywhere; you just have to look carefully.
This photo shows a simple parking lot, but the light, the shadows, their placement, and my perspective on it all gave birth to this shot.
Silvouple.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Dzmitry Rusak’s work has garnered international acclaim on numerous occasions, winning awards at competitions and festivals in Cannes, London, Moscow, and beyond; his images have been published by National Geographic and featured in the global touring exhibitions of the Sony World Photography Awards. Many of his pieces are held in private collections across the US, Shanghai, Paris, and Minsk.
In 2022, Dzmitry Rusak ceased his photography practice due to an injury.
In his work, familiar objects lose their recognizability; reflections and the distortion of light and shadow transform them into indeterminate forms. The artist’s distinctive style was shaped by a medical condition—visual agnosia—which causes a periodic loss of the ability to recognize objects.
