About this artwork
In the watercolor space becomes less a depiction of objects and more a map of invisible connections. Leaves and butterflies seem to exist on different layers of reality: some forms overlap, while others merely approach one another, leaving behind subtle energetic imprints. There is an impression that objects may never physically touch, yet their presence continues to shape the space around them.
The composition is built on the interplay of transparent… color layers and the contrast between delicate watercolor washes and the precise graphic outlines of the black-and-white butterflies. Bright autumn leaves retain a memory of movement, while translucent lines and shadows create the effect of traces left behind by vanished contact. As a result, the picture plane transforms into a multilayered environment where past and present coexist.
The painting reminds us that every interaction leaves a mark. Even after objects disappear, they continue to exist through invisible connection.
