In creating this work, I wanted to capture the fleeting essence of an emotional moment, to capture a moment of blissful solitude at the end of a long day, the solitude we seek when we need to distance ourselves from the world.
This painting is a hymn to the end of a day, a breath of quiet and reflection.
The sheen of the oil emphasizes the tangible texture of the skin and the delicate play of light and shadow, while the blue tones enhance the… feeling of quiet solitude.
The painting "The End of the Day" was a finalist at the MarteLive biennial, competing for the 2022 edition's prize.
He also participated in the exhibition "Dreaming of Japan in the heart of Rome", January 2022, at the Ramen Bar Akira, Trevi Fountain, Rome and in the virtual exhibition "Future", July 25-August 25, 2022, curated by Beatrice Cordaro and Alessia Perone.
