About this artwork
This painting was born on one of those wasted afternoons;
a grey afternoon that had started off dull and without any desire to do anything, just like the previous days had been...
then suddenly the notes of a song,
an illumination, a flashback and a premonition at the same time.
The painting was born spontaneously, thrown onto the canvas as if out of a need to vent the frustration accumulated during long days without inspiration.
Her name is… Musa and it is a hymn and at the same time a reminder of everything in life that inspires us, that gives us meaning and direction even if we cannot see the destination to which it leads us.
The painting was featured in the exhibition "From Beatrice to Cecilia, with the eyes of tomorrow", December 11, 2021, curated by Elisabetta Roncati (art Nomade Milan) and Michele Fiore
Elena Romanini, graduated in archaeology, is a painter who creates works on paper, canvas and wood with oil, ink, acrylics, watercolors and graphite. Through a dialogue between figurative and abstract, Romanini employs a variable approach, favoring acrylic for instinctive abstract painting and oil for reflective figurative painting, frequently enriching his works with material elements and gold and silver pigments. Romanini's art aims to crystallize emotions and sensations in an instant, creating a vibrant bridge between the flow of life and his personal vision of reality.
