About this artwork
The painting is inspired by a children's book by Astrid Lindgren. Lindgren's descriptions of childish astonishment and wonder about nature inspired the artist to make this beautiful artwork. The artist made another painting like this before: 'Lost'. A collector told her it looked like 'a mysterious forest of human noise'. Because of the texts of leaf metal she incorporated in the artwork. The artist thought this was a beautiful poetic translation…
of the image she created.
The atmosphere and appearance of the artwork are, as with a real forest, strongly influenced by the incidence of (sun) light. The subtle brown, orange and yellow autumn colors gives you the feeling of a walk in the forest on a sunny day in autumn.
The painting is ready to hang. Because the sides are painted there is no need for a frame.
