About this artwork
Omdat de bloem in de herfst bloeit, staat de chrysant voor vreugde en schoonheid ondanks de naderende winter. Deze prachtige bloem heeft over de hele wereld een grote verscheidenheid aan betekenissen; In Europa betekent het een uiting van sympathie, in Amerika worden ze doorgaans gezien als een bloem die respect uitdrukt en in Azië staat de chrysant voor leven en wedergeboorte. Over het algemeen wordt aangenomen dat chrysanten geluk, liefde, een… lang leven en vreugde vertegenwoordigen. Japan kent zelfs een Nationale Chrysantendag (“Kiku no Sekku”). Het wordt ook wel het Festival van het Geluk genoemd.
Deze bloemen zijn beschilderd met oranje en gele acrylverf en hebben gele en gouden metallic details. Op aanvraag kan het kunstwerk ingelijst worden in een blanco houten lijst. Het kunstwerk is klaar om op te hangen en kan zonder lijst worden opgehangen omdat de zijkanten zijn meegeschilderd.

By combining traditional techniques with contemporary materials such as gold and silver leaf, she creates layered works that shift with light and perspective. Depending on where the viewer stands, words emerge or vanish, landscapes solidify or dissolve. Her paintings therefore never remain static: they are living surfaces, changing with time, movement, and light. Recurring themes in her work are memory, transformation, and our relationship with nature. From abstract landscapes to text-based compositions, she seeks to evoke both wonder and reflection. Her art connects the fragility of human stories with the enduring rhythms of the earth, offering viewers a space for contemplation.
