About this artwork
My creation blends the essence of fine art with strokes of realism and the spirit of impressionism, capturing a moment that stands still yet vibrates with life. Each brushstroke in oil is a dance between light and shadow, mingling warm and cool hues that invite introspection. This ensemble of form and color mirrors the complexities of emotions, engaging the observer in a visual symphony. It symbolizes the harmony found in chaos, breathing energy… and contemplation into any space it graces.
« I now see my career as a series of new expansions followed by the refinement of long periods of physical application. »
Elizabeth Rickert is an award-winning artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions nationally. Her detailed impressions of plants, animals, and nature convey not only the beauty of nature but also solitude and the complexity of rich moments. In her artistic process, Rickert employs varying techniques with oils on canvas. She started as a sculptor, and so, approaches nature with a sculptor's eye- seeing the way shapes and forms and light and darkness interact. She has been fortunate to find museums, galleries, artist residencies, and corporate and private collectors around the world.
