About this artwork
" Love is the way messengers from the mystery tell us things" - Rumi
In this piece, I harnessed a whirlwind of emotion, layering acrylics and bursts of graffiti spray to create something truly dynamic. The abstract strokes and vivid pigments dance with expressionism and the subtlety of impressionism. It's not just a painting; it's a conversation with color and form. Each splatter and line weaves a unique energy, ready to inject life and inspiration… into any space it graces.

« I feel extremely happy when what I paint manifests as an idyll on the canvas I am working on. I then know that I can stop and walk away from it! »
Emi is an exciting painter based in Australia who has exhibited her work internationally. Her art is a meld of an abstract, ethereal patina inspired by Japanese aesthetics and the brazen vernacular of the Australian landscape. Emi employs a litany of mediums including silver leaf and sumi ink to compose paintings that transmit feelings of optimism. Overall, they seek to reconcile ideas of self, heritage and culture.
