About this artwork
With this subject—a lighthouse on the island of Marstrand in the archipelago along the Swedish west coast—I have spent a tremendous amount of time developing much of the unique camera technique I use for my images. By moving the camera during long exposures, I use it like a brush to achieve these painterly results. Always with single exposures, never double or multiple exposures, nor layers in Photoshop or similar software.
