The only certainty we possess is that we will die.
Everything else remains uncertain.
The path toward the end of our earthly existence is hidden from us — shaped by chance, choices, fear, and hope. The figure in this photograph stands as a silent presence between the known and the unknown: an echo of the mortality we all carry within us.
The black-and-white aesthetic intensifies the contrast between… life and absence, light and darkness, certainty and doubt. The robe reaching the ground, parts of it transparent, interrupted by white streaks, may be seen as traces of time, memories, or the final remnants of human experience.
Memento Mori is not only a reminder of death, but also of the fragility of life — and the uncertain journey we all share.
