Divine Light / Uncertain Certainty
Uncertain Certainty is a photographic series exploring humanity’s search for meaning in a world marked by unrest, doubt, and existential questions. The images reflect both personal and collective experiences of vulnerability, alienation, and the troubling aspects of contemporary life.
In contrast, two photographs point toward humanity’s need for comfort and hope. Divine Light depicts the interior of St. Peter’s… Basilica in Rome, where light entering through a high window creates an almost spiritual presence, suggesting faith and transcendence.
The second photograph called «Closeness» shows a female bust in profile. Its soft forms appear human, yet closer observation reveals that it is carved from marble. The tension between softness and hard material reflects the central theme of the series: the coexistence of certainty and uncertainty.
Both photographs are presented in black and white, enhancing the timeless and contemplative atmosphere.
