About this artwork
In this work, I strip away the sociological armor of clothing to confront the raw, unadorned biological form of our species. The seated nude figure acts as a direct examination of Homo Sapiens, but it is immediately subverted by an unnatural, surreal color palette—juxtaposing deep crimson skin on the torso with a stark, synthetic light blue across the lower body and legs.
By replacing and fragmenting the head into a glitched maze of pink and blue… balloon shapes, I ironize our self-analytical nature; the seat of human intellect and ego is reduced to a collection of temporary, hollow objects. The figure is suspended in an ambiguous, horizon-divided space surrounded by soft, cloud-like masses, isolating the subject in a critical vacuum where physical vulnerability clashes with digital-era distortion.
