About this artwork
The artist expresses a symbol of beauty and happiness based on flowers and women. With colorful colors, various symbolic images of happiness are expressed as if spreading abundantly on the girl's head. Through the work, I would like to convey the message that the ideal world and happiness we dream of do not exist far away, but are already abundantly spread in my mental world and are waiting to be aware of it.
The artist's works mainly feature "flowers"… and "women." When you think of the representative and popular artist's representation of flowers and women, you will find Frida Kahlo abroad and Cheon Gyeong-ja artist in Korea. Although it is possible to find common ground in that it expresses women as the main material of the work, the female figure in the artist’s work is more of a girl than a woman.
« "The world we live in is not always beautiful. But we may all possess the dream of being beautiful, still and peaceful. My works reflect what I want to see and feel." »
