About this artwork
I live and work near the Lahn River, and this watercolor was inspired by water lilies on the river. I painted them loosely and with a flourish using a large brush. The plant elements are abstract and flowing. The lines are also playful and abstract, and the use of water-soluble pastels creates special accents. The movement and transparency in the painting speak of the flowing water, while the floral elements enchant with their delicacy, luminosity,…
and luster (I also used copper-colored pigments).
Note: The painting has a narrow white border, making it easy to mount a mat. This means the paper size is 50 x 64.7 cm, as stated, and the painting itself is 47 x 62 cm.

Since 2022, she has focused on painting again.
