About this artwork
This smaller but vibrant watercolor painting is inspired by nasturtiums from our wild garden. I wanted to capture the essence and radiance of these small blossoms, which make the cress a focal point in the garden. The warm orange tones radiate joy and vitality, and the curved, curled shapes, which I emphasized with watercolor pencil lines, convey a sense of playful movement. My goal was to express lightness yet strength, bringing a vibrant burst… of color into your home that exudes energy and warmth.
Note: The watercolor has a white border that can be used for attaching a mat, if desired. The paper size is 29.8 x 39.8 cm, as stated above, and the image itself is 26 x 36 cm.
