About this artwork
This was one of my first paintings after returning from the tropics.
I missed Europe deeply — the scent of pine trees, the rhythm of the four seasons, the crisp air, and the simple beauty of juicy apples that invite you to touch and taste them.
While painting, I kept reflecting on a Tibetan story about the souls who once gazed upon the Earth and, captivated by its beauty, became bound to it. The desire to taste the fruit symbolizes our own human… longing — the impulse that keeps us tied to the eternal cycle of birth, life, and death.
