About this artwork
In this work, I have created an inverted figure using oil paints, symbolically representing the upheavals and inner conflicts we face. The use of vibrant reds against cool blues symbolizes the heat of our emotions in contrast to the coldness of our sometimes hidden thoughts. This painting is intended to encourage the viewer to reconsider their own perspective and explore the profound connection between the visible and invisible worlds.

Ewa Mazur-Koj is a versatile artist who grew up in Poland and has lived in Germany since 2004. She primarily works with acrylic, oil and mixed media. Her fluid techniques mix realism and abstraction, with people often at the center of her work. Her metaphorically rich works focus on the individual, whose feelings and vulnerability are permeated by a subtle eroticism. They are the visual expression of an indescribable world of thought.
