About this artwork
With the work "L'URLO" the anxieties, fears, fears of all time that imprison the individual, endangering the destiny of humanity. In this work, a terrifying scream emitted by a woman pierces the attention of the observer, capturing interest in the ferocity of a serious event: the destruction of the "Twin Towers". Insecurity, imbalance, impotence, ruin and death contribute in that scream to denounce the danger of universal catastrophe for that part…
of humanity that believes in democracy and makes use of it in order to allow and maintain those balances necessary for the survival of the planet. In fact, not only freedom is at stake, but above all the security of man and nations; all from the presence of the monument placed to the right of the woman, the statue of liberty and in the background a grayish sky, furrowed by deadly flashes and suffocating mists, defines the entire composition. Work repeatedly awarded and exhibited at the International Biennale in Rome.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
