- In this series I created predominantly surrealist works concerning “Sacred and Profane”.
Here we see the Cathedral of Trani in the background, crowded with women in black dresses and black veils covering their heads. The work draws inspiration from the processions common in southern Italy in the run-up to Easter, specifically during Holy Week. I… used red enamel to dramatize the space in front of the sacred building, with all those barefoot women atoning for the many sins of humanity. I combined the cathedral's graphic design with digital processing in a mixed technique brimming with spirituality and materiality, to offer you poetic and at times grim, yet authentic and vibrant, stories.

Ezio Ranaldi, is an artist born in Canosa di Puglia, in the Province of Bari, on May 23, 1948, where he lives and works. He has held many solo and group exhibitions in various cities, including Tarquinia, at the Etruscopolis Museum, in Ferrara at the Estense Castle, in Cannes in France, in Norwich in Great Britain, in Paris, in Bari, and in many other Italian locations. He has participated in various International Biennials including Rome, Florence, Ferrara, Lecce, Verona. Present in various Modern and Contemporary Art Fairs, including Padova Arte, ExpoArte in Bari, Artisti in Mostra in Parma, Artexpo in New York, Arte Salerno. Numerous prizes and awards. His works appear in public and private collections, as well as being published several times in catalogs and contemporary art magazines. Valuable critics have expressed themselves regarding his work.
