About this artwork
WOMAN IN RED - canvas cm. 60x80 with frame 66x86 cm. Ready to hang.
To describe this work I must first start from how I made it. Generally all my works are "Mixed Techniques", in this case I made a digital collage of four different photos: a beautiful face - a red dress, symbol of passion - a foot with a shoe - and a hand with a cigarette - all finished by hand with enamel colors and varnish.
It may seem like a portrait of the model, but the passion… that an artist puts into it, means that the portrait that comes out is nothing other than the portrait of the artist himself! The model is nothing but the pretext. It is the artist who reveals himself, his dreams, his desires, his concept of beauty, who reveals, in short, the secret of his soul. In the paintings that you will have the opportunity to view later, it is always beauty seen in many different ways; figurative styles close to POP-ART, to the NEW FIGURATION.
« A labyrinth of real and surreal subjects where seduction is the red thread that binds and the dream is the cosmic space in which to take refuge and live. »
