About this artwork
This work celebrates a meeting of souls represented by two main figures. The pictographic elements allude to a couple and portray, in a contemporary way, the exact moment when Venus and Mars align in their complementary worlds—yin and yang—thus revealing two other figures: alter egos that emerge holding a single heart to the heavens. This, in turn, harbors a deep admiration for its ascendant and its partner. The choice of color present in the pulsating… organ was inspired by the hues of clay. Nothing holds us back as a species, for we are all clay in divine hands. United in one flesh, we become invincible to time, we transform ourselves; whether in clay as ceramics, in the war that seeks peace, or as seeds in the evergreen tree of life.
Felipe Cavalcanti defines his artistic identity in the deep exploration of the human figure, with brushstrokes that challenge the cartesianism of perception. He creates characters, revealing facial elements in constant movement and weaving multiple visual narratives. The core of his work lies in the intangibility of emotions and the intrinsic complexity of human relationships, seeking the true tonic of feelings, silent dialogues and the invisible palette of the deepest thoughts that shape existence. The paint, in his hands, transforms each composition into a portal for discoveries, marked by a vibrant explosion of colors and textures that transform the imagination and invite introspection. Felipe Cavalcanti proposes a complex and metaphysical dialogue with the observer, unveiling his own psyche through layers of color and shape. Its goal is to transcend mere visual testimony, provoking the public to question and expand the perception of reality and the human condition.
