About this artwork
Part of the 2026 Works on Paper series, this piece explores the idea of an internal ecosystem — a living microcosm where organic structures, cellular forms, and fluid connections unfold in rhythmic expansion. Soft tones of blue, pale pink and muted greens create a sense of fertile movement, suggesting growth, transformation and invisible energies at work. Executed in mixed media on paper, the work invites close observation, revealing layered textures… and intricate networks that echo both biological systems and psychological landscapes.
A delicate universe unfolds at an intimate scale.
Cellular constellations and organic flows gather into a field of quiet abundance — a meditation on growth, interconnection and the silent architectures that sustain life.
Fernando Jaramillo Vélez is a Colombian contemporary abstract painter whose work explores memory, perception, and layered spatial structures through complex organic compositions. With a background in fine arts, graphic design, and photography, he developed a visual language that merges painterly intuition with intricate systems of color, rhythm, and accumulation. Fernando Jaramillo received the Colombia’s National Creation Grant (Ministerio de Cultura), and his work has been selected in publications by PricewaterhouseCoopers and the World Bank Group ecosystem. In 2022, he signed a contract with Singulart in the Top Seller Artists Program. His paintings are collected internationally, particularly in the United States, Asia, and Europe.
