Florence Penet is a French artist who creates abstract paintings characterized by a search for light through the interplay of chromatic contrast and harmony. Working primarily in oils, she often adds marble dust for an impasto effect and to structure her compositions. Her work is essentially spontaneous, her paintings taking shape as the layers of glaze are applied.
