« My painting evokes the natural elements: earth, water, fire, the beauties of the world and the fleetingness of the moment. Everyone can appropriate it and give it a very personal meaning. »

Florence Penet is a French artist who creates abstract paintings characterized by a search for light through the interplay of chromatic contrast and harmony. Working primarily in oils, she often adds marble dust for an impasto effect and to structure her compositions. Her work is essentially spontaneous, her paintings taking shape as the layers of glaze are applied. In this intuitive way of creating, Florence's spirit and emotions take hold of and inhabit the space of the canvas.
