About this artwork
We all have a part that we show and another that we hide.
One half speaks, feels, fights.
The other observes, guards, resists in silence.
In this work, the face is divided between light and darkness, between desire and wound, between what we would like to say and what remains locked inside us.
The spider perched on the lips symbolizes this silence, whether chosen or imposed, these words that never manage to escape. The little hearts, meanwhile,… remind us that even in the heart of darkness, love, desire, and hope continue to exist.
"The Silent Half" speaks of our duality, of what we show to the world... and of all that no one ever truly knows about us.
