About this artwork
In this painting, I tried to represent in a different way a historical figure endowed with a strong personality.
Historical figures often spark legends and stories that grow over the centuries, adding even more mystery and dark sides to their existence. I think it particularly appeals to creative people, whether they are writers, musicians or artists.
Through this work, I wanted to highlight the strength of character of this character by using… a very cubist look style, while looking for shades of red in the chromatic palette. These colors are a tribute to the representation of Napoleon in the long battles he fought.
I wanted to capture the intensity and determination that characterized Napoleon Bonaparte, while bringing him a contemporary artistic touch. This mixture of style and color aims to give a new perspective.
