About this artwork
Even as a child, the romantic charisma of the willow tree with its hanging branches had a very special charisma on me. The painting "Willow Tree" celebrates the willow tree and gives it the play of colors that I see in it. The willow tree shines in summery, cheerful lights in front of the deep blue of the rivers and ponds, where this water-loving tree likes to grow.

« For me, a painting is a sensual interplay of structures, colors, and shapes, taking into account the materiality of canvas and painting medium. »
