About this artwork
"Komorebi" was born from the need to capture the tension of the ephemeral. I didn't think of specific landscapes or scenes, but rather of forces: that which sustains, that which expands, that which erupts.
The dark lines are my way of constructing a living skeleton, both strong and flexible. The blues represent the air that separates, that gives space, and the red notes are interruptions, reminders that all stillness can be disturbed at any moment.… In the voids, light sneaks in subtly, as if seeking its own place between structure and color.
This work isn't meant to make you see something specific; it wants you to feel like you're standing in a frozen moment, just before the story continues off-canvas.

Gabriel Lass, painter and sculptor, began his artistic path outlining houses and gardens, but found in painting a place to eternalize feelings.
