About this artwork
It's a semi-abstract painting that captures the epiphany of a fleeting moment. Stylized and vibrant raindrops touch the surface of a nighttime puddle, exploding into a kaleidoscope of colors. The lights of traffic lights, signs, and car headlights are refracted in the drops, creating a magical and evocative atmosphere. The painting invites reflection on the fleeting nature of existence and the beauty that is revealed only at the moment of its end,… or rather, of its transformation. The raindrop, invisible in its fall, is colored with life only when it crashes against the surface of the puddle, a symbol of how we often notice things only when they are about to vanish.
Gabriele Poidomani, graduated in illustration, has worked in advertising publishing and as a set designer, now devotes his mastery to painting. His technique skillfully mixes the figurative and the abstract, giving life to works that encapsulate deep philosophical questions through morphology and chromatism. His art is a silent cry, an intense and powerful way of communicating the investigations of human existence.
