About this artwork
It is a story of "layers of memory" and strata of the ground, where from the darkness of the mine drifts, the resources that bring light and warmth to our homes are extracted. The golden accents in this work represent the light of lanterns in endless tunnels, guiding those who are not afraid of the depth. It is the glow of warmth born from black coal.
To make this statement tangible, I developed a complex texture on an MDF panel. The foundation of… the composition is natural coal, its relief highlighted with gold acrylic. The integration of decorative crystals beneath a layer of jewelry-grade epoxy resin creates an inner shimmer, reflecting the value of every fragment of energy extracted from the earth.
This painting is created for those connected to the mining industry who value authenticity. Despite its 30x40 cm format, the combination of raw coal as a base and the polished resin finish gives the work exceptional symbolic power and physical presence.
