About this artwork
My creation captures the fluidity and complexity of the human spirit using stainless steel, a material often seen as stiff and unyielding. Crafted into a freestanding bust, this sculpture plays with light and shadow to evoke a sense of resilience and grace. It stands as a reminder of strength and beauty merging together, and will bring a dynamic and thought-provoking energy to any space it inhabits.

« I prefer to use one material to create my art, if another material is used, it would create a different layer on its own. »
Gavin Tu is an experienced painter and sculptor based in China whose works have been exhibited nationally. Through his diverse pieces, he explores themes relating to the proportion of the human body, as well as lights and shadows. In his painterly compositions, Tu employs monochromatic tones with acrylics on canvas or fabric. However, in his sculptures, he favors wire mesh and embroidery.
