The work captures a moment of deep concentration and total physical abandon. The sculpture depicts a reclining female figure, her legs raised and crossed in mid-air in a pose of absolute stillness. The body takes shape through a rigorous orthogonal mesh, a technique that blends the cold logic of geometry with the warm harmony of human curves.
This precise architecture becomes a visual metaphor for thought itself: invisible and impalpable, yet capable… of building solid and complex internal structures. As the body relaxes and frees itself from the weight of earthly gravity, vital energy is not dispersed, but rather concentrated entirely in the mind.
The suspended legs evoke a sense of detachment from the ground, creating a space for pure reflection where ideas can flow freely. The work is a hymn to the silent power of our intellect: the greatest and most revolutionary movement often occurs precisely when the body stops.
Giacomo Toth is an artist and designer who blends aesthetics, technology, and concepts. With a background in digital design (IED) and industrial design (Sapienza University), he has a distinguished career as a yacht designer, designing the Azimut Atlantis Verve 36, awarded "Boat of the Year 2009," before dedicating himself entirely to contemporary art in 2018.
His research explores themes of lightness, fluidity, and resistance, drawing inspiration from the human body, yoga, and parametric architecture. Through the use of plastic materials and digital technologies, Toth creates sculptures balancing dynamism and fragility, capable of engaging with space and sensory perception.
Internationally recognized, he has participated in prestigious events such as Art Revolution Taipei and Artbox Project at Miami Art Basel Week. His work invites reflection on the relationship between energy and matter, combining design rigor and poetic imagination.
