About this artwork
The work Ombra captures a moment of quiet introspection, where the meditative female figure sheds its materiality to become a pure internal projection. Shaped through a rigorous three-dimensional orthogonal grid, the body reveals itself as an architecture permeable to light and space, devoid of solid mass.
The title evokes the very essence of shadow: a presence that exists but cannot be grasped, a silent echo that follows being. The geometric,… perforated structure transforms physicality into abstraction, symbolizing the persistence of memories or the trace of a fleeting thought. Ombra is a hymn to the lightness of the soul and its ability to exist and dialogue with space, even when matter fades, reducing being to its purest and most spiritual imprint.
