"I'm here, I feel… I feel my body and the tensions melting away, a widespread sense of well-being begins to pervade me."
A slender figure, composed of an intricate cellular lattice, stands as a porous embodiment of this experience. It is the agile woman who has completely abandoned her defenses, surrendering to an overwhelming contentment. Tensions dissolve throughout her body, visually represented by the open structure where solidity gives way… to an ethereal release. The receiving pose, face down, arms outstretched, is a silent acceptance of a pervasive well-being. Time is no longer external; her regulated breathing dictates its flow as the calm from without penetrates deeply into her inner being. The openwork form emphasizes the lack of defenses and the immersive nature of relaxation, making the figure seem integrated with the surrounding space.
Giacomo Toth is an artist and designer who blends aesthetics, technology, and concepts. With a background in digital design (IED) and industrial design (Sapienza University), he has a distinguished career as a yacht designer, designing the Azimut Atlantis Verve 36, awarded "Boat of the Year 2009," before dedicating himself entirely to contemporary art in 2018.
His research explores themes of lightness, fluidity, and resistance, drawing inspiration from the human body, yoga, and parametric architecture. Through the use of plastic materials and digital technologies, Toth creates sculptures balancing dynamism and fragility, capable of engaging with space and sensory perception.
Internationally recognized, he has participated in prestigious events such as Art Revolution Taipei and Artbox Project at Miami Art Basel Week. His work invites reflection on the relationship between energy and matter, combining design rigor and poetic imagination.
