About this artwork
"Footprints in Time"
A figure emerges from the blue smoke, imprisoned by the red chest, like a human fossil trapped in a suspended moment. The atmosphere, delicate and almost dreamlike, invites the viewer to reflect on the infinite vastness of nature and the fragility of the human being in front of it. The association of the body with amber amplifies the feeling of intimacy and meditation, as if time had stopped, allowing a deep connection with… the surrounding environment. The photograph does not tell a linear story, but rather evokes a universal feeling of self-searching and inner peace, where the border between the human and the natural becomes almost imperceptible.

Gianluca Chiodi is an established Italian photographer with national exposure. Inspired by Italian operas, Caravaggio, and the romanticism of painting, he composes photographs that blur visual reality, fantasy and sensuality together into an irresistible, sensory aesthetic. In doing so, Chiodi explores subjects such as the human body and the power of its movement, the environment and its protection, and people and their vices.
