Giuseppe Pitruzzello, born in Sortino and graduated in Architecture from Turin, uses painting, drawing, and digital media, drawing on a solid background in the arts and conceptual art. Inspired by Surrealism, Symbolism, and Pop Art, he creates hyperrealistic works filled with symbolic colors, characters, and icons, in a dreamlike and ironic figurative style. His works convey powerful emotions, oscillating between joy and anxiety, inviting reflection on the contradictions of contemporary society and the search for transcendence. At the age of 21 he was among the winners of the international competition announced by La Stampa, Le Monde, The Times and Die Welt, Theme: "Environment 1974", “Torino Esposizioni”.
