About this artwork
That day, the urgent need for change, for a real and tangible rebirth, was revealed. In the midst of that inner storm, the image of the eagle and its transformation process emerged, painful but vital for survival and evolution. The impulse drew me to the canvas. Without a sketch or prior plan, the brushstrokes sprang forth with force, shaping a fusion between the human and the animal: instinct and reason in a single being. The textures and movements… reflected the internal struggle, the shedding of the old and the acceptance of the new. With earthy tones and deep shadows, the work became a testament to that metamorphosis. It is the visible imprint of a rebirth: the courage to face one's own nature and the determination to evolve.
Glenda Padrón is a painter trained in Cuba and Spain, specializing in stage design and psychology, using oil and acrylic on canvas. Her figurative expressionist style is characterized by the distortion of the human figure to deepen the message, focusing on existential conflicts and the search for freedom. Her works convey an intense emotional charge, inviting reflection on the complex inner universe influenced by the social environment.
